This prompt is from 642 Tiny Things to Write About by The San Francisco Writers’ Grotto. This book I got from my cousin as a Christmas gift, has some awesome little prompts and great way to get those creative juices flowing!
This picture was taken in the Sears department store photo section. I was about two years old in this picture. Those bangs and frilly dress, golly. I really didn’t like bows in my hair or itchy dresses. My mom could probably say I was super cranky and very uncooperative that day. I probably needed a nap!
Prompt: Find a picture from when you were a toddler. Write about the moment from the perspective of your child self.
Response: “Mommy is laughing and smiling over there. I wonder what about. I really want to stand, I don’t want to sit anymore. Oh she has my favorite toy- Barney the purple dinosaur! I really want it! My hands are sticky.”
