This prompt is from 642 Tiny Things to Write About by The San Francisco Writers’ Grotto. This book I got from my cousin as a Christmas gift, has some awesome prompts and great way to get the creative juices flowing!
Prompt: Describe the morning light off the ice along the highway’s edge as you drive home to confess where you have been all night.
Response: My head throbbed as I turned onto the highway facing the piercing sun rise. It had to been six o’clock in the morning. The light glinted off the ice on the side of the highway. Some parts were frosted over while other parts of the were sheets of mirrors. Cars parked along the highway ready to be chained up and hauled way too had frost on the hoods and windows of the car. Details like that don’t normally catch my eye but after a night like last night its easy to notice the little things.
