There’s nothing like the present to do whatever it is that you want to do now. So whatever it is a new hobby you want to start or a new exercise routine or meeting new people. Do it now! There’s nothing like the present! Some of the great teachings that I’ve been learning throughout the years. Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn and the most recent motivational speaker that I’ve been listening to Rob Daily they all say to just get out there and do it now.
So what does that exactly mean? Literally, just go out there and quit my job and just go out there and put myself out there? No, it doesn’t necessarily mean that but maybe take those baby steps to get to where you want to start.
Nothing like the Present
The first thing that kind of comes to mind is there’s nothing like the present to do it now. Today is a gift so why not push forward and do it now? So when I first started writing I started journaling when I was really young. I didn’t really think that it would become a full-time gig or even a part-time gig in my case to become a writer and author, a blogger, or a vlogger. I didn’t realize that was a thing so when I first started there was a lot of different things happening. My grandfather had passed away and family pet had passed away and I wasn’t sure what was I doing with my life. At this point in my life I’ve you know I had a couple of jobs that I had quit because they weren’t the right fit. I wasn’t very passionate about a lot of things except for writing. Writing was always one of those things that was my go-to like I journal in the evening, journal in the Morning. It helped me get to where I am today. The only thing that was stopping me was me.
Excuses and Procrastination
Fear isn’t an exucse to come to standstill. It’s the impetus to step up and strike.-Arthur Ashe, American Tennis player
Guilty! Some things that were holding me back, fear of success. Who wouldn’t want to be successful? There was that lingering feeling of well all these people would know me or you know people would want things from me if I became successful. I had to push all of those excuses all those fears aside and just say hey what is it that I really want from this am I wanting to be a million-dollar babe or if I do I want to actually be something and an influencer a leader a inspiration for someone to push forward in their dreams so those are some of the wives of why and that’s something that is important to just because you have the what you need then why to follow through and back you up when you’re going forward and pushing towards your dreams.
Don’t worry about the “how“
One other thing that I was worried about I suppose was the how. How am I supposed to become a freelance writer and continue on my journey? What does that entail? I wanted to know everything and it was kind of funny as soon as I started focusing on becoming that all these different resources started popping up things like different bloggers brought up the idea of freelance writing and it just started popping up everywhere. Soon enough I was able to read a lot of different ones and learn from all the different experiences that they had. Now I’m just pushing forward learning a little bit more every single day about the trade how it works and just getting out there and marketing myself. Don’t worry about the “how”. Know your what, know your why and how will come.
Keep going keep pushing know your what, know your why, and don’t worry about the how and any excuses that are holding you back right now don’t let it. It could be your family obligations, it could be work obligations, it could be life throws their curveballs at you but you have to keep going.
