“You like writing, right? Why not start a blog?”-Friend
The very question that got me started three years ago for my blogging business. I didn’t know anyone could just start on. I thought you had to be a well-known someone to even start a website but this is in fact how many authors got there start. By writing about what they love and what they are passionate about they grew an audience and published their work. For me, with this particular blog, it’s sharing my thoughts and experiences. My hope is to help someone who needs to read it and hopefully pass it on to a friend.
Gosh, in three years I grew my following from 200 to 33k likes and follows. Sure to some this may be a number but it’s people that have found my content entertaining and or have personally reached out to see how they can help or how I can help them. It’s a network of creators and readers. In the midst of all this, I have been networking with various people and businesses to hopefully get into the influencer/ambassador level of blogging: Paid ads and reviews on products. While still working a 9-5 job, with spare time I have in the mornings I would get up get ready and write a post or two. Trust me it’s been challenging and my job is a bit more demanding mentally so writing a post has become a bit more cumbersome. I am devoted though to pumping out content. It may not be as often but hopefully inciteful and entertaining.
What’s coming up in the next year or so? More content, more adventures, and networking.
