Happy 4th, my fellow Americans! A day where we get to celebrate being apart of this country with a variety of freedoms that may not be in other parts of the world. A day to be grateful for the things we do have. And the way to commemorate the men and women who fight hard to keep our country safe and protect our freedom. This day for me up until my early twenty’s wasn’t about that but the family, bbqs and fireworks. The fourth has always been about those three particular things. I never really reflected on the freedoms I take for granted, because I have never seen them taken away from me. As I learned in many countries their citizens do not get the same voice as we do. Saying whatever is on our minds. Sure, we get haters and people that dislike and ban us from their sites but we don’t get stoned or thrown in jail for the things we say on social media. We have restrictions and regulations and more hoops to jump through when it comes to starting up businesses but we can. WE have that right and freedom. We have the freedom to worship and praise who ever god we deem worth. In many countries they don’t have the running water or food. Our country was built upon people of dreams to make lives a better place. Its days like this, I feel, we need to take a step back from all our woos and be grateful what we have and really live it up. Happy 4th! Hope everyone has a safe and great one!
