Another late night poem by yours truly.
Meek to Bold
Meek and mild
she had no idea what awaited her
This new chapter in her life
a blank canvas
What she knew before
She learned from
What was yet to be learned
Still needed to be uncovered
Yet her voice
It was small
Tiny
Barely a peep
When she spoke
Something kept her from speaking aloud
The past perhaps?
This she had to let go
Open her mouth and speak her truth
Writing it down
Only did so much
Speaking out loud did wonders
Whoever heard her
brave, bold, courage
Known to stand out
Speak up
You have a voice.
