NO = Next Opportunity

NO = Next Opportunity

I faced my first rejection at a young age, I have a cute crush on a boy in my class and he didn’t feel the same way. I realized he really wasn’t looking for a friend like me. That was okay. I learned that sometimes I come off too strong and scare people away. When in reality I shouldn’t have to tone myself down to meet the right people. The next rejection I faced was being told I have horrible reading skills. I increased my game by taking summer school and learning how to really comprehend reading materials and summarizing them. When I got my first rejection letter, same just learning what I can improve on and getting a mentor to look things over.

No doesn’t mean never, no means to me, next opportunity. For every ‘no’ you get. No, you are good enough for XYZ reason. Or no you can’t do that. Or no not this time. Its never, just no. Don’t take it personally. The skills and abilities you have learned are not what they are looking for. But it may be for another company or another opportunity. Take every no as a new time for you to up your game, learn more and reach higher. It’s okay if it’s not this time, or the next just keeping reaching for your goal. Learn from it, push forward and get it!

Keep kicking and smiling!- TJ Banski
