In last month’s blog post, Pine Pellet Litter Box, I got a lot of comments in regards to how Ziva is adjusting to the change. After a brief adjustment period of a week and a half, she is using it great. The kitty litter is gone and now it’s just pellets and sawdust. By scooping the poop, sifting out the sawdust, the pellets stay and she can continue to use the box. I overdid it on the pellets, there is only supposed to be an inch or so of pellets and I poured about three to four inches. This makes the box heavy to sift. It’s a good work out though. I figured the pellets will last longer. Over a month and still haven’t changed it. It smells like pine everywhere in the house. Unlike the litter where the smell would linger even after airing out the house. She seems to have adjusted quite nicely to it. I use the sawdust on my flower beds. It helps keeps the bugs away.
