Pour Out

Pour Out

Another late night poetry moment! This particular poem I wasn’t sure where it would lead. Then I came at from what I learned about earlier in the year. Enjoy!

Pour Out

The high tide of frustration grows deep
First starting as a few raindrops
To a monsoon of overwhelming waves
Drowning in misery, guilt, and resentment
One gets swept away in the storm
What is said is spilled out
To be forever resonating in the image of that moment
How does one prevent it from happening?
Where does the transformation begin?
To bring one to a calm mind, body, and spirit?
Act, take action
Go for a drive, a walk
Take a trip, to reset
Come back at it with a clean slate
Begin again
Start a new
Lessen that brings one’s mind to turmoil and despair
Come at it from a place of gratitude and lessons learned
Life is all about the up and downs
And the downs are what make us stronger
